Are you ready? FrightFest 2017 is here …….
Well, it’s that time of the year again – August Bank Holiday Weekend. Which can only mean three things – off work (for most), rain (highly likely) and FrightFest Film Festival (definitely). In fact FrightFest is the only thing you can really be certain of each year, as the perfect way to wind up the long summer months.
This year the festival is celebrating it’s eighteenth birthday – for many people a real milestone / coming-of-age celebration. And with this in mind the organisers behind the event have lined up a veritable smörgåsbord of film premieres, guest appearances (both old and new faces), special events and a few surprises.
Kicking off tonight with the world premiere of Cult of Chucky (2017), the latest instalment in the blockbuster Child’s Play film franchise, and finishing on Monday with the UK premiere of Tragedy Girls (2017) – a new twist on the high school slasher film for the Instagram age – there promises to be something for everyone.
So turn off your phone, settle back and enjoy what has now become an institution for the the August Bank Holiday in London’s West End.
Check Flickfeast (on the site and Twitter) over the weekend, for reviews and regular updates on what has been going on at the festival.
