No one was feeling blue on the afternoon of Tuesday August 9, as the otherwise hip Soho Hotel became the setting for the Smurf’s in 3D Tea Party. A clutch of delighted little ones played, posed and feasted with the cuddly Blue live sized creatures, proud parents too shared in the blue magic.
With a whole new generation discovering the wonders of the Smurfs, it’s worth noting that their origins and provenance goes back to Belgium in the late 1950s. It’s a testament to their endearing qualities, bravery, honesty and hard work and play that have inspired several generations. Now the Smurfs are very much in the 21st Century with Video Games, theme parks and even an Ice Skating Show and not forgetting a movie in glorious 3D. The kids were curiously engaged, and in no time a swarm of blue painted faces were fiercely competing on the Playstation Smurf Game, refreshed by the delicious blueberry smoothies before being whisked away to settle back and enjoy the movie munching on you guessed it, blue popcorn.
Thanks to the Staff of the Soho Hotel for the great service!!
