Emma Thompson has signed on to play an agent in ‘Men In Black III’.
The British actress will star in the blockbuster sequel alongside returning stars Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith. Thompson will play Agent Oh – who, according to the film’s press release, will play an “MIB agent from the ’60s monitoring a prison break”.
The film will focus on Smith’s Agent travelling through time to save the world again. He ends up meeting a young Tommy Lee Jones in the film, played by ‘No Country for Old Men’s Josh Brolin.
One of New Zealand’s most famous exports since Peter Jackson, Jermain Clement (best known for comedy act Flight of the Concords), will play the film’s villain.
Barry Sonnenfeld will direct once more – his first time behind the camera since 2006’s ‘Runaway Vacation’.
‘Men in Black III’ will be released in 2012.
