Jean Luc Godard once said “Film is truth, 24 frames per second.” Now, I don’t know what that means, but I do know it’s wrong. Creed 2 cannot be truth, because it’s made of film, and truth is made of emotions or something. I also don’t know who Jean Luc Godard is, or what 24 frames have to do with it, as frames are usually found in Asda, for pictures and photos to sit in.

Although, actually, films are made of pictures, aren’t they? So maybe that’s what he meant, in which case, he’s very clever, even if he’s from somewhere that isn’t where I’m from.

So, what, in fact, is a film?

Well, it’s a thing you go to see when it’s too early to see it on tv. It even comes out before the dvd. And it costs three times as much as watching it for free, which is really stupid. Unless it has nudity in it.

But not every film does.

“Bambi” didn’t.

Neither did “Spaceballs” and that has ‘balls’ in the title.

Welcome to FLIM WEAKLY.

This week, I saw the sequel to Creed, which is a sequel to Rocky 4, but isn’t called Rocky 5, because that already happened, but didn’t have anything to do with Creed 1, but is a little bit to do with Creed 2, so is it? I dunno.

Creed 2

Creed has a fight with the son of the huge Russian dude from The Expendables 2, and gets twatted until he loses. Then he falls out with Rocky, because Rocky once had a fight with the huge Russian dude, but not his son. The huge Russian dude and his son don’t like each other. Rocky and Creed don’t like each other. There’s a baby in there somewhere and a couple of women who don’t do anything, which is annoying, because one of them was in Thor, and she was kicking in all sorts in that.

Anyway, Creed and the huge Russian’s son have another fight and Creed wins, and everybody becomes friends, I think, although I could be wrong, because usually when I have a fight, I end up hating the other dude. Or crying.

Marks out of 10……..

4.

He has no training or education within the film industry, knows little of cinema in general and may, in fact, still live with his mother.
