2015’s ‘Sound Bites’ of the year


It’s always good to hear other people’s views and opinions, and Hollywood celebrities are usually more than happy to share their sagely wisdom with the rest of us.  2015 was a vintage year for such anecdotes, so here are some of our favourites.  Reading these makes you realise how normal you are.

“I just didn’t feel ready to take that dive, at that point.” – Leonardo DiCaprio (who was considered for the part of Anakin Skywalker in the Star Wars prequels) explaining why he passed on the opportunity.

“This next presenter is so lovely you could eat her up with a spoon.” – Host Neil Patrick Harris, introduces Reese Witherspoon at the Oscars.



“I remember crying my eyes out when I watched the end of the Lion King.” – Dwayne Johnson



“It does feel different. I’m very happy. It’s nice to be able to look down and see a new piece of jewelry on my finger.” – Justin Theroux’s thoughts on being married to Jennifer Aniston, and on his wedding ring.



“I’m the number one Cumberbitch!” – Johnny Depp sharing the depth of his feelings for Benedict Cumberbatch.
